Obituary of Bonda Jean Misener

“Deep in their roots, all flowers keep the light.” -Theodore Roethke Bonda Jean Misener died peacefully at Victoria Hospital on March 25th, 2024 in her 80th year Daughter of Chester and Verna Rennick (Graham), she was born on October 21st, 1944, in Fergus, Ontario. She is pre-deceased by her husband Donald Misener. She is survived by her daughter Laura and her husband Gordon (Osinski), son Robert and his partner Karen (Irvine). She was the ultimate grandmother to three wonderful grandchildren, Alexander, Bronwyn, and Logan. Bonda grew up on a farm in Marsville, Ontario, and she continued to be a farm girl at heart. After graduating from Fergus High School, she went on to study dental hygiene at the University of Toronto. She loved nothing more than being outside in her garden or hiking when she travelled with her family. Bonda loved to sew and knit, making many Halloween costumes, gymnastics suits, graduation dresses, and random creations dreamed up by her grandkids. She loved reading, from the serious to the frivolous; she could spend hours cuddled on the couch with a good book. While living in St. Catharines, Bonda had a successful career as a dental hygienist. She later taught English as a Second Language (ESL) and worked in real estate administration after moving to Hawkesbury and then Ottawa. Bonda spent her final years in London, Ontario, where she took up Lawn Bowling and cultivated her delightful garden. Bonda was creative, generous, and had a passion for learning. She enjoyed spending time with family, and neighbours who quickly became friends. Always determined and passionate, she remained extremely vibrant through to her final days.
