I was both shocked and saddened to learn of Marilyn's passing today on Aug 2, . we were first cousins, our dad's being twins. Although we had lost touch with each other, I often thought of her and her family. My sympathy to all.

I was heartbroken to hear of Marilyn's passing. Our dads were cousins, and our grandmothers were sisters, so we were second cousins. I called her "Cousin Marilyn" and she called me "Cousin Kathy". When I moved to London I did not know a soul there, but my dad connected me with Marilyn and we instantly became friends. I lived in London for almost three years and Marilyn & myself & Marilyn's friend Jane and my friend Denise would golf nine holes almost every Saturday in golf season. Marilyn would often invite me over and I felt like I had family nearby. We took a family vacation to Ontario in the summer of 2019 before Covid, and Marilyn & Rocky hosted all four of us for a couple of nights. I was thrilled that she finally got to meet my husband and girls in-person. She had always promised to visit me when I moved to Alberta, but it never happened. She was so good at keeping in touch and calling on a regular basis. I'm going to miss her so much. My deepest sympathy to Rocky, Victoria and Cindy and their families. Sincerely, Kathy Hearn McKinnon & family

We were very sorry to hear about the passing of Marilyn and our deepest sympathy goes out to Rocky and her entire family. Marilyn was someone whose warmth and kindness was felt by all around her. She was very compassionate to our mother, Jane McCarthy. Marilyn would check in on Mom often, making sure she had a bite to eat and some company, all while making sure Mom was safe and taken care of. Mom loved these visits and cherished her long friendship with Marilyn. We appreciate all the attention Marilyn gave her, especially in these last few, difficult years.
On behalf of our mom Jane, we offer our deep gratitude and sincere condolences during this time of loss.

When I was first employed by the City, I worked for Rocky for a number of years. I met Marilyn when she and Rocky hosted staff at their home. Marilyn was a wonderful lady and I enjoyed getting to know her. My sympathies to Rocky and his family.

Very sad to learn of Marilyns passing. Our deepest condolences to Rocky, Victoria, Cindy and rest of the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. We have fond memories of Marilyn. She was a lot of fun to be around. She had a kind heart. We have great memories of playing cards and visiting overnight at each others houses. Will miss our phone calls to catch up with whats new. The conversation always ended up with news about the grandchildren. She was so proud of them.
We will miss our dear friend.

To Rocky, Cindy and Victoria and your families,
My heartfelt condolences to you all at this difficult time. We will all miss her dearly. Every phone call with Marilyn started with "and how is my friend (insert name) today? She was interested in everyone she talked to and was especially pleased to let us know what the kids and grandkids were up to. Marilyn was always so proud of her family. RIP good friend.

To Rocky, Cindy, Vitoria and families. My heart goes out to you and yours at this difficult time. Marilyn will be sorely miss by all that knew her. We had such good times together, lots of fun and laughter. I will definitely miss her calls with "how is my friend (your name) today". She was so proud of the grandchildren and kept us updated on their activities. Rest in peace "Mon Amie."
