The memories I have of Kathleen are indistinguishable in that I was greeted with a warm welcome, a pleasant conversation, and an ongoing example of how to take good care of the world. Hearing that she ascended a mountain in the past year is of no surprise, as her zeal was demonstrated in every story I heard about her. Those who’ve known her can find appreciation in all the small things throughout each day thanks to her example. I was sad when I was told about her illness, and then I was inspired by the life she lived despite that.
